ABOUT LISa
I hold a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary, am EMDR trained, a Nationally Certified Counselor as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of Colorado and Texas. Many of the clients I see for therapy experienced excessive worry and anxiety, sleeplessness, hopelessness, suffered from the aftereffects of a traumatic event, or have had difficulty connecting in relationships with others. I work most extensively with trauma and complex trauma, interpersonal abuse, and religious abuse as well as with LGBTQIA clients, and postpartum men and women. I typically draw upon many approaches in therapy to help clients alleviate not only the symptoms they experience, but to help bring wholeness to their lives. I generally use approaches from Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness, Somatic Processing, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). If you are interested in learning about any of these modalities, or how they could be of benefit to you, please contact me for a free consultation. Together we can decide if my style of counseling will be helpful or a good fit for your needs.
